Medical
Anodized aluminum has long been a standard material for medical devices because its non-porous surface does not harbor bacteria, fungus or mold. MetalPhoto® photosensitive anodized aluminum improves that standard by producing an inorganic, sub-surface image that will not fade or corrode after thousands of sterilization cycles. MetalPhoto® is used for medical device identification applications such as UDI labels, sterilization tray and container labels, operating room equipment panel fronts and many others.

Industry Specifications include:

  • AAMI/CDV-1 ST79:2010/A2.06, a comprehensive guide to steam sterilization and sterility assurance
  • FDA Amendments Act of 2007 for the establishment of a Unique Device Identification (UDI) System
